Loch Lomond is a freshwater loch located in the Scottish Highlands, and it contains numerous islands, each with its own unique character and history. Here are some of the islands of Loch Lomond:
Inchmurrin: This is the largest island on Loch Lomond, and it is home to a hotel and restaurant, as well as a golf course and a nature reserve.
Inchcailloch: This island is a popular spot for hiking and picnicking, with beautiful views of the surrounding loch and hills.
Inchconnachan: This island is known for its population of wallabies, which were introduced by a previous owner in the 1940s.
Creinch: This island is privately owned and is home to a beautiful estate.
Torrinch: This small island is uninhabited and is home to a variety of wildlife, including otters and ospreys.
Clairinsh: This island is also uninhabited, but it is home to a ruined castle that dates back to the 14th century.
Bucinch: This tiny island is located near Inchcailloch and is home to a small herd of wild goats.
