“I’M DAT NIGGA” serves as the second track on Future’s ninth studio album, I NEVER LIKED YOU.

The track embodies a dark, crisp, and smooth vibe to it with fast-paced drums in the production of the record—courtesy of producers Slowburnz, Dy Krazy, and Southside. Throughout the track, Future raps on the regular subject matter of women, riches, substance abuse, and reassurement that he is not pathetic and is “DAT NIGGA,"—a slang term for being of high status.

A notable feature of the record is that it interpolates Young Thug’s hit record “Hot,” released on August 16, 2019.
