In this episode we go through the character creation and create a Death Godlike Barbarian called Mortarion. We also learn that we get sick on a caravan headed for Gilded Vale. In Gilded Vale Lord Raedric offered land for new settlers. We head here to lay low for a while as we have made a few enemies while we were working as a mercenary.

We suddenly get sick on the road and the caravan has to stop about a day out of Gilded Vale.

Pillars of Eternity (original working title Project Eternity) is a party-based role-playing video game inspired by the Infinity Engine games (Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, Icewind Dale 1 & 2, and Planescape: Torment) set in an original fantasy world created by Obsidian Entertainment for Microsoft Windows, OS X and Linux. The game was crowd funded via Kickstarter campaign and PayPal pledges. Kickstarter campaign achieved its initial funding goal within 24 hours of launch, and was concluded on October 16, 2012 after raising $3,986,929 in total from 73,986 backers, with additional $324,650 from roughly 5,698 backers PayPal pledges.
