Tuberculosis is often thought of as a historic disease, but every day around 4,700 people worldwide die of TB.
Strains of TB resistant to even the best drugs we have are also rising.

Scientists are now using cutting-edge technology to develop portable, rapid tests to help doctors around the world give patients the correct treatments and reduce the spread of drug resistant TB.
