Tirpitz is my favourite battleship ever built. There is sth about her, her looks, her history, and the fact that shes german, gives her a special place in my heart. The kit from trumpeter is nice but has some limitations and inaccuracies, like the instructions showing a crows nest on tirpitz main mast that she didnt have in real life, also the fact that the kits main deck is split in 3 parts doesnt really help construction. Having built both, the trumpeter tirpitz and the revell bismarck in 1/700, I have to say that I would go with the revell kit, its cheaper, has better fitting and is just as good, in some spects even better than the trumpeter kit. Nevertheless this was a great build, that I enjoyed a lot.
