The Royal Gibraltar Police says the bulk of money laundering investigations relate to the proceeds of drug trafficking. This according to Detective Inspector Craig Goldwin of the RGP's Economic Crime Unit.
Mr Goldwin says that over the years, an excellent working relationship between the RGP and Spanish authorities has developed, which has allowed for a cross border approach to tackling the issue.
