Ryan: How's it going, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2019 Ford F350 super duty. We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Titan snow tire chains. On our tires today we are going to have a tire size of 275 by 65 by 20. So many States actually require the use of tire chains in many areas, but that's not the only reason that you would want these. These are really going to help provide you with extra traction and stopping power in that snowy and icy weather.
So for example, those of you that maybe use a snowplow and do some work, these are really going to give you that extra traction whenever you need it most. And there's a couple of things that set these chains apart from some of the other ones, the first one being that there is a diamond pattern. So we're going to have some extra links here that run down to the center of the tire, as opposed to the other ladder Sao ones that kind of just go over like this. So not only is this going to give you more coverage, the tire chains are going to fit snugger and tighter against your tire and just overall offer on some more control. It's going to use a little bit smaller links, but there is going to be more of them. So all in all, that's going to provide us with more surface area, which in my opinion is just going to dig in a little bit better and since they're smaller, the ride is going to be much quieter than those bigger links.
They're going to come with a really nice carrying case that has individual compartments for each tire chain. That way you don't have to worry about them getting all tangled up and fighting them whenever it's freezing cold outside. And since it is relatively small you can throw them underneath the seat, forget about them until you need them. What I really like about these is they're super easy and quick to get installed. That way you don't have to spend a bunch of time outside on the snowy days, messing around. Speaking of which let's go ahead and put them on together now.
To begin your install, what you're going to want to do is lay your chains out flat, that way we can make sure there's no kinks in them. When you lay these out, you also want to make sure that these hooks are going to be facing away from the tire. So for example, when we have them laid out flat on the ground like this, you're going to want to make sure that these are facing down just like this. So now we're going to slide our chains behind our tire and what you're going to want to do is this opening here in the middle, this is going to be centered on your tire. So now we try to work them all the way around. Now we're going to grab each end and lift it up.
Those two are just going to link together like so, then you can start to grab your chain and start to get a draped over your tire. What we are going to do is connect this green hook here to our yellow one. That will connect together like that and then you can just kind of work that chain around and what I like to do is the center links here, I try to send her them with the middle of our tire. That'll get us in really good shape to get the rest of it installed. You can take this gray portion of our chain, and it is going to wrap underneath this red part and so you can kind of pull, take some of the Slack out of that chain. We'll loop it back and you are going to put this end with the rubber on it, through the red hooks. Again, kind of pull some of that Slack out then you're able to completely pull it across to the other side, and hook it to one of the links. So now what you would do is just repeat that same process for the other tire. Then hop in your truck, drive a short distance, get out and check and make sure everything is nice and tight and centered. And if it isn't, you just make your adjustments to get it that way and that'll finish up our look at and our installation of the Titan Snow Tire chains on our 2019 Ford F350.
