Jabal Al Nour is famous for its Hira cave, where the Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) received the first of his many revelations via the Angel Gabriel. The Mountain has many names including Jabal al-Quran, Jabal al-Islam, and Jabal Hira but the most famous name is Jabel al-Nour.
