U.S. Army Soldiers of the 1st Battalion, 6th Infantry Regiment conduct a combined arms live-fire exercise at the Drawsko Pomorskie Training Area, Poland.
At the direction of the Secretary of Defense, the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, deployed to Europe to exercise the U.S. Army's ability to rapidly alert, recall and deploy under emergency conditions.
Over the next few weeks the 2nd ABCT will conduct live-fire training with their Polish counterparts at the Drawsko Pomorskie Training Area. The training will culminate with a gunnery and a combined live fire exercise.

Polish and U.S. Soldiers participate in a combined arms live fire exercise as part of Phase II of DEFENDER-Europe.
DEFENDER-Europe was designed as a deployment exercise to build strategic readiness in support of the U.S. National Defense Strategy and NATO deterrence objectives. In response to COVID-19, DEFENDER-Europe was modified in size and scope. Phase I of the modified DEFENDER-Europe was linked to exercise Allied Spirit, which took place at Drawsko Pomorskie Training Area, Poland.
