When it comes to a pose like Setu Bandhasana, the “easy” way to approach isn’t always the best or safest way and now, you’re going to learn why.
In this tutorial, we’re showing you how to safely do SETU BANDHASANA \ BRIDGE CONFIGURATION POSE from Ashtanga Yoga’s Primary Series. You’ll learn common alignment mistakes, the proper way to set up your body before lifting up, and how to move into the backbend. You’ll also see a modification to try if you’re still newer to this pose and need more support. You should never feel pain or discomfort in your neck during this pose, so go slowly and really tune into what your body is telling you so you can practice it safely.
