Here we are in Caesarea Meritima. We're walking into a location where something very interesting may have happened right here. In the book of Acts, there's a story about Agrippa. He comes to meet with his subjects and he gives a speech. He walks out onto the stage in dazzling apparel. And all of his citizens are gathered to hear these words from their king. Well, his speech was so profound and so incredible that at the end of it, they got up on their feet, shouting, "This is the voice of--" of a God and not a man. At that moment he had a decision to make. Does he receive the praise of his people or does he give that praise to God? He made a critical flaw in his calculation and he chose to receive their praise and keep it. At that moment the Bible says that God struck him with worms and he died a brutal horrific death because of the chairs of the crowd that he accepted that were never his to begin with.
