Friedrich Wohler dispelled the vital force theory with his experiment, which created urea, a great fertilizer that typically comes from the urine of animals, from inorganic compounds. This experiment began the study of organic chemistry as we know it today. Therefore, he was called The Father of Modern Organic Chemistry.
