Beekeeper, Michael Warren, whose has "always been in the BBKA", was called to remove bees from the 1000 year old church of St Mary and St Mellor in Salisbury as the roof needed repairing. The colony was occupying a space 3ft by 3ft by 3ft and it took him and a fellow beekeeper 7 hours in total. Michael was hoping they would all fit into a nuc box but soon realised he needed a national brood box and two supers to take them all away!
