I am sharing you my version of "Laing| Taro Leaves in Coconut Milk Recipe - Pinoy Style" We love this version, hope you'll love it too. Bon appetit!!! All ingredients are optional, modify as per your liking. Take Everything in Moderation. "Health is Wealth".
Laing Recipe - Lutuin ng Ganito para Walang Kati
Ingredients:
4 tbsp - olive oil
350 grams - Pork Belly (parboiled)
75 grams - 1 & 1/2 head garlic
160 grams - young ginger (just half if old ginger)
150 grams - shallots or onions
35 pcs - spicy chilis (10pcs for garnish)
40 grams - small dried shrimps
40 grams - small dried
fish (dilis)
2 tbsp - shrimp paste
6 cans - Coconut Milk @400ml/ can
150 grams - Laing/ Dried Taro Leaves @ 75 grams /pack ( parboil Laing in water for 3 minutes)
2 tbsp - lemon juice
pinch - of brown sugar
Parboil Pork Belly:
Water - enough to submerge pork
3 pcs - crushed ginger
1 tbsp - Chinese rice wine
***pork belly
Note: "For creamier taste... Add 1 big can (2 cups) of evaporated milk 5 minutes before cooking is done"
Cooking time: approximately 2 hours
