Dr. Craig Santos Perez, is a native Chamorro poet from the Pacific Island of Guam. He is an associate professor of Pacific literature at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa. He has co-edited three anthologies on Pacific literature and is the author of four books of poetry. He’s the first Pacific Islander author to receive the American Book Award and the Lannan Foundation Literary Fellowship.
