As we get ready to wrap up. I mean, we've talked about it throughout everything that obviously processes key the labor shortage is not going away anytime soon, we need to utilize technology to help with the labor shortage but also to make sure that the staff that we do have can be as high touch as possible is there anything else you want to add in that area?
Well, again going back to this whole idea of high touch and really the hoteliers they came to a hotel to be guest facing. They didn't come to be screen facing.
So, the one thing that I would add with automation, the one other term, if there is another term to add here is one, we use called “Zombie platforms”.
So, as we add on more and more systems and more and more platforms that we're asking our teams to use, it becomes too much information that we have a paradox of choice of Brands we have a paradox of choice for what you can do in Wellness.
We have a paradox of choice of hotel applications you can open up when you get on site or if you're working remotely.
So, the one thing I would caution any hotel you're looking to innovate using technology and really ramp up automation to help make their teams more guest facing, is that you look to consolidate the number of platforms that any single hotelier is looking at, and I think that's very important.
It's not just about making those data connections it's really about solidifying which platforms people are using.
So, that way they can they don't feel overwhelmed by the amount of Technology they're required to cross-reference on any given day.
Yeah, that makes sense, so I've heard hotels talking recently particularly obviously as you said with the labor shortage and turnover as staff, you need to make sure that the onboarding process is actually as simple as possible.
You know, like the hoteliers of the future, they're gen Z. They don't like looking at dos-based systems, they like good user interfaces good UI.
Yep.
And what they're used to and what they're comfortable in using is very similar to what you see on a mobile app that's made by the big guys the Facebooks and the Googles.
So, you got to think about not only the amount of features but the user interface and maybe that means if you're evaluating some a new piece you have somebody from the a young trainee or a young employee step in on a call to demo it and give their feedback to sort of say, yeah I can use this I feel comfortable using it because they ultimately are the ones who are going to use it and if they aren't comfortable using it, means they're not likely to use it and congratulations you just made another zombie platform.
Yeah, that's a great Point some of the best Solutions I've seen of, it's no accident that they look like Facebook. It just means that learning, there is no learning, literally. Your staff member can pick it up and say this is like Facebook for hotels.
Yeah, that’s a great thing for anyone to say, means that they know how to use it or know how to find what they need to find.
And it's what Steve Jobs did a wonderful job with the iPhone. I remember that there was that video going around many years ago where a small child I think in a remote Village who'd never seen technology was given an iPhone and you quickly worked out, just press these icons and it goes back to I think your comment.
When I was working for a PMS vendor, we always used to what I would call your grandmother, the grandmother principal, you know.
If your grandmother can actually use this piece of technology, then you've done a pretty good job at actually designing it.
Yeah, that applies on so many levels just have to be conscious of the end user in any which way whether it's a guest access like a NFT platform, somebody trying to use your Metaverse, built hotel, or a young hire at a hotel trying to access the PMS or whichever service platform you're using.
