I recently acquired this Peavey Mini mega amp as a back up amp for myself and have been very impressed by its sound quality and power. The Direct Out is actually quite good and I have been using this amp on many gigs. I also have a couple of touring bassist friends that use this amp and they're equally impressed by its sound and power output.
I used my passive Marco N1 4 string bass stock, went direct into a Universal Audio 2-1176 bypassing the Compressor/Limiter and went into an Apogee Duet. I bounced it down via Logic Audio using a little L2 Limiter on the master bus.
