Gujarat Flood Updates: From the hill state of Uttarakhand to the southern state of Telangana, the monsoon is wreaking havoc. Heavy downpours are being witnessed across several states of the country, including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Kerala and Karnataka, among others.
With the prediction of more rainfall in the coming days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued rain alerts for several cities. A red alert was issued for parts of Telangana and Maharashtra, while an orange alert was issued for several districts of Kerala.
Meanwhile, over 3,000 people have been shifted to safer locations in Gujarat as several rivers were flowing above the danger mark due to the rainfall. Authorities have been asked to monitor the situation and carry out rescue operations wherever required.
