Kismat” had some superb music composed by O P Nayyar. Though Rafi Sahab was not there to sing ( he had his differences with O P Nayyar those days) and Mahendra Kapoor had done a decent job filling in for him. And O P Nayyar had used the voice of Shamshad Begum for a song too.
And then there was Asha Bhonsle, the premier singer of O P Nayyar to sing for him. And she delivered some fine songs.
Here is one of them - a solo song. It is a party song and it is a drunkard song. In most Bollywood drunkard songs, it is ther hero who gets drunk and sings, here it is the heroine who does that. And one must say, Asha Bhonsle has done a superb job, singing this drunkard song.
Wait, what is Karishma Kapoor doing in this song, some youngsters may ask. Well, it is not Karishma Kapoor, but her mom, Babita, who looks very much likehow Karishma Kapoor looked in 1990s. There is no mistaking the hero though, it is our beloved Biswajit.
Though S H Bihari had written all other songs in this movie, this particular song was written by a lesser known lyricist called Noor Dewasi.
