The Texas General Land Office Community Development and Revitalization (GLO-CDR) division has been designated by the Texas Governor as the state agency to administer over $14 billion in Community Development Block Grants for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) following presidentially declared major disasters.
This presentation will provide an overview of the agency’s history regarding disaster recovery and mitigation while making distinctions between other state programs. Primarily, this presentation will define the variety of CDBG-MIT programs that are currently active and in development for future release. Additionally, statewide flood planning will be highlighted with a focus on regional flood basin studies and the Texas Disaster Information System.
