Which type of grass should you Dormant Seed with?
This plays an important role in the success of this process! Rye grass is considered a nurse grass - it germinates very easily and quickly. It's a type of grass that we usually WANT to use for over seeding...but not THIS time.
For Dormant Seeding we do not want our grass seed to germinate until Spring. For this reason, we recommend using a blend of Kentucky Blue grass and Fescues.
