Narcissus Erlicheer is a double flowered variety (group 4 of the daffodil classification) and definitely one of the most fragrant daffodils for the garden, with a very sweet scent.
It is probably a sport (mutation) of Narcissus White Pearl and was raised by Mr. Gardiner in New Zealand. It has flowers with 4 whorls of petaloid like structures, giving to the flowers a very ruffled appearance. Each flower stem bears several flowers, that are very sweetly fragrant, definitely one of the most and best scented daffodil in group 4.
As usual for daffodils, the bulbs need to be planted in autumn in well drained soil, and the plant thrives in full sun or at least partial shade. In summer the foliage dies down and bulbs can either be lifted and divided, or left in place keeping them as dry as possible.
