The co-cathedral of Santissima Maria Assunta and San Catello is the main church of Castellammare di Stabia and is the co-cathedral of the archdiocese of Sorrento-Castellammare di Stabia: built starting from 1587 but consecrated only in 1893, the statue of the patron saint is venerated inside of the city of Stabia, San Catello.
