Although a trivial change in terms of any effect on landscape character overall, the overgrowth and cluttering of this view does represent quite a change in experience for the passing traveller. It is also typical of how many field openings in Hertfordshire have become blocked up, often in response to abuse by fly-tippers and trespassers.
Minor changes in the middle distance, apart from hedge and tree growth, include two lines of fencing added across the field and the death of a tree by the pylon.
