The Olympus PEN EPL8 is a powerful camera. It may not have all the features of a pro camera, but it takes just as great pictures with it's sensor and doubles as an awesome vlogging camera with the flippy screen that comes down.
My sister bought one for cheap these days and is using it to learn photograph and in retrospect it was the gateway camera that brought her over from her phone. SLR cameras always scared her, as she thought you had to be a professional, but the EPL8 is that middle of the road. I guess that is why they market it young people who have only ever used their phones to take a photo in all their advertisements.
Its getting a bit old now, but the camera is just as good as ever and has become an instant cult classic. And its a very beautiful looking camera. Olympus always make the best looking camera's. Lots of style... People always comment on how cool the Olympus camera's look.
I took my EM10 Mark II and Gioia took her EPL8... Jerry and Spike went for a big walk.
