Skin cancer are not very oftenly seen in India. In olden days probably we are tropical country and we are brown skin individuals. And it is known that the melanin in our skin is more like a protective mechanism acts as a protective mechanism and prevents any skin cancers. But probably because of the ozone layer depletion due to the pollution and so many other diesel particles. So because of the ozone layer depletion we are getting rays which are unwanted or unwarranted. And these rays can damage the skin we do see quite a few skin cancers nowadays. And how do we detect well you have any non-healing ulcers on the exposed areas or lesions which are itchy and ereythematous, oozing dry all these on the exposed areas go see a dermatologist. Probably there'll be a biopsy done to diagnose exactly accordingly the treatment is done either by exision or laser or depends on the type of the skin cancer. Best way to protect yes is to use a sunscreen regularly routinely as directed by the dermatologist.
