The Italian Vanilla Custard Recipe is a simple recipe but you need some precautions to get a good result.
Here is our recipe, simple to follow and too good to eat !!!
Ingredients for the custard:
4 organic or very fresh egg yolks 🥚
100 gr of white sugar
30 g of cornflour
270 ml of fresh whole milk 🥛
70 ml of liquid cream
Two teaspoons Vanilla extract
First, put the milk, liquid cream and vanilla extract in a saucepan over low heat, stir occasionally and heat until the mixture boils but without boiling.
In the meantime, put the egg yolks, sugar and corn friend in a bowl and mix with a finished hand whisk to obtain a smooth and well blended cream.
As soon as the liquids reach the right temperature, pour the egg cream into the saucepan and always leaving the heat low and stir often letting the custard cook.
In the last two minutes of cooking the liquids will begin to thicken, it will take about 14/16 minutes total, so stir vigorously and turn off the heat.
At this point the famous Italian recipe of vanilla custard is ready, delicious and velvety you can use it to fill your cakes or to flavor fresh fruit, eat it with a sprinkling of cocoa.
If you have to garnish your cakes you need to cool the cream before using it in a filling, then pour it into a glass container with low sides and cover everything with cling film and let it cool for at least two hours.
Once cooled remove the cling film and mix with a hand whisk.
It is a real treat, eating it on a chocolate ice cream or next to the fragrant apple pie can reach its maximum splendor.
