Keelung Branch of Bureau of Animal and Plant Health Inspection and Quarantine is mainly responsible for quarantine of imported and exported plants and animals and relevant products and health inspection and supervision of meat slaughtering and so on in Taipei City, Taipei County, Keelung City, Yilan County, Hualien County and Lienchiang Town of Fujian Province etc. for the purpose of strengthening international quarantine inspection of animals and plants as well as their products, preventing invasion of foreign dangerous diseases and pests, strengthening domestic hygiene inspection of livestock and poultry slaughtering, ensuring safety of agricultural and livestock production environment and providing safe agricultural and livestock products to people in Taiwan.
