Codemat is a complete solution for mixup detection for carton pasting machines. Using our pharmacode generation software, a unique pharmacode is assigned to each & every job. The pharmacodes are to be printed on the side pasting flap of the carton. When these cartons are run on the pasting machine, the Code Reading Camera will scan each carton’s pharmacode. If any mixup is present, the value of the pharmacode read by the camera will be different & hence, the system will take corrective action. User can also add colours of the job into the pharmacode. In case any of the job colours is missing, the camera will detect a missing colour as well. Colour variation is not checked.

When a bad carton (mixup or missing colour) is detected, the system will stop the feeder. In this event, a few cartons will pass on after the bad carton. The screen will display which carton was detected as a faulty carton and the user will have to remove this carton. After removal, the user will have to press “Error Acknowledge” button in order to start the feeder.

The User interface of this system is very straight forward & takes minimum efforts and time. The live image from the camera is displayed on screen along with the GOOD, BAD & TOTAL counts of the cartons. Apart from this, the make ready time, camera parameters, & job details are also displayed.
The system complies with various Pharma norms & therefore has user ID & passwords. Operators can be given different User IDs and passwords. Using this data, a detailed report of each job is generated & stored in the system which shows data such as, Operator name, Job name, Job number, Job start time, Job set up time, Job end time, total good bad counts, Pharmacode value, QC acceptance or rejection, etc. This report can be exported in CSV & PDF formats.
