Welcome tothe #GREHowToSeries! This is the night before I take the GRE for the third and final time. I am feeling a little nervous but also determined. I know that my GRE performance is not an accurate assessment of my worth or potential to succeed in the academic context. On the other hand, I know that faculty and admissions have the hard task of picking a handful of candidates out from a sea of applications. That means my score will play a role in helping me stand out. Even so I am trying not to put too much pressure on myself, which is why I am asking myself to remember these five things in order to do my best on the GRE test:
5. Triangulate (6:34)
4. Conjunction Funtion (8:42)
3. Square Dance (9:41)
2. Cross Fit (12:18)
1. Test Drive (13:39)
Each of these catchy, yet cryptic phrases have a deeper meaning associated with them. Since my focus is on increasing my quantitative score, my catch-phases have to do with how I approach the math section. If you are most concerned with your verbal GRE score, try creating catchphrases to help you remember the techniques you want to remember on test day, and drop them in the comments below. Sharing your tips will help the #BrilliantAFCrew shine bright on their test day.Speaking of the Crew, have you joined? If not, you can do so by subscribing right now! If you already have, I sincerely appreciate you.
