This lecture concerns the opening chapters of Wolfe's A Man in Full. The object of the lecture is to explain why manliness is a problem in the modern world and how Wolfe begins to elaborate on that problem through the characters of Charlie Corker and Conrad Hensley as well as some of the minor characters. This class was an interactive class where students helped develop the ideas that Wolfe is aiming to develop in his novel.
