Mechanical Completion Inspection (Before test)

A walk down of target equipment(spool) is carried out to verify that all construction activity; Fitting & welding, NDT are completed and reports are available. Also, fit-for-purpose verification is carried on the instruments and equipment, evidence of status shall suffice. After Hydro Reinstament work

Anomalies, which include incomplete works are recorded as "punch item". Some "punch items" must be cleared before test commencement, some will not hinder the progress of the job at the stage, so it shall be cleared after hydrotest and maybe cleared before hydrotest. Reinstatement

The close out activity of hydrotest operation is regarded as reinstatement. Just as its sounds; reinstatement basically means, returning the equipment to its original state after hydrotest of Piping spool test

Another walk-down of the equipment to verify reinstatement will be performed at this stage. Evidence of reinstatement will suffice as "reinstatement Report" / "Line walk after test report" .

Reinstatement will in one way or the other involve flange management system, though it is mainly a hydrotest activity, but its worthy of note.

Flange management system, is an activity involving inspection of; flanges, bolt&nuts, gaskets, lubricants etc, it includes identification and application of appropriate equipment to management integrity of bolted flanges by employing traceable and auditable data to assure quality.
