A family from Mulatiwa village, Cheptais area in Mt Elgon constituency Bungoma county is crying for justice after their fifteen-year-old daughter was impregnated by a police officer attached at Chesikaki police station. The class seven pupil at Mulatiwa primary school was impregnated by Joseph Baliti Bitok in October last year.
The regular police officer has since been transferred to Taita Taveta county by his seniors.
The told scribes who visited her in their home on Thursday that the officer started having an affair with her in August last year.
She said the officer would pass by their house in the evening when her parents were at work and greet her.
She said that later, the officer would come and take her to the police quarters before convincing her to have sex with him. The girl gave birth to a bouncing baby boy two weeks ago.
She said that when she realized she was pregnant she informed the officer who told her not to abort the child nor tell anyone.
She said that the officer has never spoken to her ever since learning she was pregnant.
