Visit my website at [ Ссылка ] - bouea macrophylla is commonly known in English as the marian plum, egg plum, or plum mango. Here in Thailand, it is referred to as the "maprang." It has a plum-like texture but is actually more closely related to the mango.

According to Wikipedia, the maprang seed is edible as well, but the seed I tried was quite bitter. The young leaves are also edible and used in salads. Even though it's not a plum, it's easy to think of it as a "tropical plum."
