To make more power, you need more fuel, but in the past this hasn’t been as easy as we'd like for high power applications.
Brushless fuel pumps are not new, however the ability to have precise control over them has been relatively difficult until more recent times and now companies like Fuelab offer controllers that can run the flow at 100% capacity if required for motorsports use (we're looking at you Drag Racing) or as little as 20% for other applications that warrant less flow when off or at low throttle, taking a load off the system and not heating the fuel by circulating it for no reason.
