In this video we present our solution for Aerial Laser scanning.
The Tron is our eVTOL solution for long range flights and mapping of large areas. In this project we made use of the payload performances of the Tron and the high accuracy of the YellowScan Surveyor Ultra with its Velodyne VLP-32 laser and the APPLANIX APX-15 IMU.
We would like to give you a quick overview of the project cycle from flight preparation to mission planning, data acquisition and analysis.
The data analysis not only shows the coloring (4:15min) of the point cloud from RGB image data but also the classification of the point clouds into ground points and three additional different vegetation heights (3:40min and 4:48min).
Ground points will give you access to create true DEM data whereas vegetation points for example provide the possibility to analyze the bio-masses.
