The aims of this film are to:
1. Improve planning for meetings between lawyers and the person who is the subject of Court of Protection proceedings.
2. Increase understanding of the perspective of a person with autism/learning disability who is going to meet a Court of Protection lawyer.
3. Demonstrate examples of good practice when lawyers communicate with a person who is the subject of Court of Protection proceedings.
This film was created by the Judging Values and Participation in Mental Capacity Law project team at the Institute for Crime and Justice Policy Research, Birkbeck, University of London in association with VoiceAbility.
