Teaching staff, parents and/or therapists complete detailed questionnaires on a learner’s cognitive and communication abilities. This produces profile for the learner in 4 key development areas: communication, social interaction, self-regulation, and cognition and learning. PAGS through its algorithm produces a selection of targets in each developmental area so educators can make the correct choice for that learner. For each individual target, there are a variety of exercises, strategies, apps to aid the educator working with that learner.
PAGS focuses on small steps progress and prompts educators to record progress so that they are working on these cognitive targets, each progress update is noted and displayed on several different types of graphs and reports that allows educators to track and monitor progress throughout the educational journey. The data produced in PAGS has been used in Education Health and Care Plan -EHCP reports, OFSTED inspections and as evidence in tribunals which illustrates the versatility of the data produced by PAGS.
PAGS is a validated tool that supports teachers, learners and professionals by providing them with a much-needed holistic view of both the learner’ strengths and developmental challenges whilst generating provision that caters for the specific needs, allowing for higher quality instruction and better outcomes for the learners.
PAGS assesses special needs children and young adults through a developmental model so that their skill deficit, based on their cognitive or neurological level can be established.
