Never did a cold start of Ginger, the 2003 Toyota Camry with the 1MZ-FE V6 engine. It was 26°F, and I needed to go out, so it was a good opportunity for a cold start. The Bendix drive on the starter tends to stick when it's cold, THE BIG SIX does that, and Old Clanky did as well. I'd imagine it's a common issue. Only happens in the ice cold, never any other time. Not even the warm start, which you get as a bonus!
