This preview for Jackie Chan's First Strike was put at the beginning of certain VHS cassettes produced before the summer of 1997, it says that the film would be available on VHS on July 1st, 1997. I pulled this off a copy of Mars Attacks!

Jackie Chan's First Strike was originally released on February 10th 1996 in Hong Kong, at that time it was called "Police Story 4: First Strike" (or in Mandarin, "Jing cha gu shi 4: Zhi jian dan ren wu"). It was released in the United States as "Jackie Chan's First Strike" on January 10th, 1997. The film stars Jackie Chan, Jackson Lou, Chen Chun Wu and Bill Tung. It was directed by Stanley Tong.

The film is sometimes simply known as "First Strike." This was the first time general audiences in the United stated were exposed to Jackie Chan
