India assumed Presidency of SCO Member Countries in 2023. Which allowed India to organise this year's film festival. Ministry of Information and Broadcasting through NFDC organised the film festival and awarded the planning, conceptualisation and management of 4 day long film festival. Delegates from 25 member countries visited the film festival which was also attended by film fraternity of each of these countries. Opening ceremony performances included Dances of India troupe performance along with Ganesh Acharya troupe. Closing ceremony performances included Anirban Roy, Toufiq Qureshi performances along with Kailasa band by Kailash Kher. Hon. Minister of Information and Broadcasting Shri Anurag Thakur ji inaugurated the event which was attended by Shri Akshay Kumar ji, Shri Tiger Shroff ji and many other film stars of Indian Film Industry.
