The results of the 2024 elections may give some the impression that things will get better. Friends, listen closely. Don't be fooled by the fleeting promises of any election. While some may whisper of brighter days ahead, a stark and prophetic warning echoes through the ages, a warning we dare not ignore. These three prophetic and sobering words tells us, unequivocally, that: “In the last days, perilous times will come. Evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse” (2 Timothy 3:1,13). Imagine a wound festering, becoming infected, the rot spreading. That, my friends, is the grim picture painted for us. Humanity, left unchecked, doesn't inherently improve. It decays. It becomes putrid. Just as the Psalmist cried out against the wickedness he saw, we too must recognize the signs of the times and brace ourselves for the storms ahead. Don't be lulled into a false sense of security. The word is clear: worse and worse. Let us be vigilant, let us be prepared, let us cling to what is good and true in these increasingly treacherous times.
