Following the feedback we got from our latest post, we present yet another rare 1950s concert from our archives. This is an iconic concert from the career of the legendary vocalist MS Subbulakshmi. This concert was performed during the December Music Season for the Music Academy Madras, on 25th December, 1958. This performance was held at the Special Pandal erected by the Music Academy at the premises of the PS High School in Mylapore.

Please note that the Music Academy 1958 performance of MS Subbulakshmi has been incorrectly represented in many collections including many YouTube channels. This concert has been reaffirmed to be the accurate performance as represented in the Music academy souvenirs that have been made available.
