More than a dozen cryptocurrency exchanges in Herat have been shut down by Afghan law enforcement, and those in charge of them have been taken into custody. The offensive follows the imposition of a ban on foreign exchange trade via the internet, which the Taliban appear to have extended to coin trading as well.
