In this preparatory season of Advent, the beginning of the cycle of seasons of the church year, one thing we’ll prepare for is Christmas. Our celebrations, as always, will be built around the story our speaker, Columban Ray Suarez, insists we tell and tell again because it is just about perfect, as a story. We never say, “I’ve heard it all before” because even if you have, you’ll be ready to hear it again. After his annual Advent talk (now in its 28th year!), Ray will sign copies of his newest book, We Are Home: Becoming American in the 21st Century.
St. Columba’s Episcopal Church is a welcoming Christian community
of all ages that encourages spiritual curiosity, celebrates children and youth,
and embraces the world in the spirit of God’s justice and love.
