Dendrobates Auratus mother and Leucomelas father offspring. You will notice the colouration is that of a Leucomelas, but their shape is that of the Auratus. Their patterns are a mixture of both, having similar waves of colour to the Auratus but with the distinctive black neck band of the leucomelas. Their behaviour is that of the Auratus, being very introvert and hiding a lot.
Please do not breed hybrids as introducing these to the hobby can lead to pollution of the blood lines of pure bred frogs. However some research suggests that these hybrids will be sterile. The bottom line is that not enough is known about dart frog hybrids to be sure that they are sterile. These dart frogs are the only ones of their kind in the world.
These hybrids were bred for genetic research purposes only, they will not be sold or disbursed, they will live out their days in my loving care.
