Watch along for my first lap of driving a Radical SR1! First impressions:
1. The car is very responsive to driving inputs (like a race car should be)
2. The tires are forgiving (allows a bit more slip than a slick tire)
3. The car rotates really nicely on brake release, so you don't need to trail brake to keep weight on the nose in order for the car to turn properly.
The car is similar in performance to a Formula 4 car, and it feels a lot like driving one tbh. Central seating position, a smidge over 1000lbs, 182hp, and not a lot of downforce to complicate driving styles.
Even despite the minimal effect the aero has, I still had tons of confidence to send speed into these high speed corners of Atlanta Motorsports park. This is definitely a track you want a car that inspires confidence on. Between the elevation changes, blind corners, and bumpy brake zones, this track is great at pushing you to be precise with your inputs.
