Ibrahim Mohammed Saleh left his home in the Galilee village of Al-Shajara in historic Palestine as a refugee in 1948 when he was just 17, and settled in Homs with his family. He was one of 750,000 Palestinians who were driven from their homes by Jewish militias and their brutal actions which led to the creation of the state of Israel in the land of Palestine.
Abu Arab was known for his revolutionary and national songs that have been sung by Palestinians for decades. He is credited with composing around 300 songs and poems during his long career.
