Gluten-Free Pie Crust
Prep: 10 minutes plus chilling Bake: 20 minutes Serves: 8
Ingredients:
1 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour plus additional for dusting
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 cup cold Stater Bros.® Unsalted Butter (1 stick), cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1 Stater Bros.® AA Large Egg
Directions:
1. In food processor, pulse flour, sugar and salt until incorporated. Add butter; pulse until small crumbs remain. Add egg; pulse until incorporated. Add 1 tablespoon ice water, pulsing until mixture sticks together when pinched between 2 fingers. Shape dough into disk; wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate 1 hour.
2. Preheat oven to 350°. Unwrap dough; place on lightly floured work surface. Roll dough into 12-inch circle (about 1/8-inch thick); transfer to 9-inch pie plate. Press dough onto bottom and up sides of plate; flute edges of dough. Pierce dough all over with a fork.
3. Bake crust 20 minutes or until golden brown. Fill crust with favorite unbaked pie filling; refrigerate until set. Cut pie into 8 slices.

Chef Tip(s):
If using the crust for a baked, single-crust pie recipe, omit step 3, fill crust with filling and bake as recipe directs.
