I've been enjoying upgrading my MIM Fender 50's road worn Stratocaster and the next natural thing to upgrade was the pickups, after reaching out to Porter Custom pickups they kindly sent me a set of their vintage custom pickups to try out.

These have a really tight low end and sound focused with a lot more definition, the pickups are hand wound using vintage style coil wire and braided vintage style wiring with a bar magnet at the bridge pickup to tame some of the highs.

This is my first experience with Porter pickups and i'm sure it won't be my last as these custom wound pickups are fantastic!
